    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of accurately measuring solar battery output characteristics by considering the fluctuation of the amount of solar radiation while the solar battery output characteristics are being measured. SOLUTION: In the solar battery output characteristic measuring method which samples the output current and output voltage of a solar battery while changing operation points, the amount of solar radiation corresponding to the light energy due to natural sunshine received by the solar battery is sampled at the same time with sampling the output current and output voltage. In a solar battery output characteristic measuring instrument having a current detecting means 10 detecting the output current of a solar battery 1 and a voltage detecting means 11 detecting the output voltage of the solar battery, a light detecting means 12 which detects the light energy due to natural sunshine received by the solar battery and solar radiation fluctuation detecting means 30 and 32 which detect the fluctuation of the amount of solar radiation sampled by using the light detecting means are preferably provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the current-voltage characteristics of a solar cell accurately and with good workability by a method wherein a masuring circuit is provided with a solar-cell short- circuiting means for short-circuiting the solar cell. SOLUTION: The temperature of a solar cell 1 is measured by a temperature detecting means 13 arranged on the rear of the solar cell 1 using optical energy, which is irradiated on the solar cell 1 by a photodetection means 12 arranged in the vicinity of the solar cell 1 to be measured, and the output current and output voltage of the solar cell are respectively measured by a current detecting means 10 arranged in series to the cell 1, and a voltage detecting means 11 arranged in parallel to the cell 1. Moreover, a measuring circuit has a solar cell short-circuiting means, which is controlled by a MOS-FET 21 for short-circuiting, and a solar cell for photodetection is used as the photodetecting means 12, a thermistor, a thermocouple, a temperature measuring resistor and the like are used as the temperature detecting means 13, a hole sensor, a resistor for current detection and the like are used as the current detecting means 10 and a signal converter, a resistor for partial pressure and the like are used as the voltage detecting means 11. Accordingly, the solar cell hardly has effects of reflection due to a floating impedance within the measuring circuit, and the measurement accuracy of the current-voltage characteristics of the solar cell can be enhanced.
