摘要： PURPOSE:To provide sufficient space between each contact and prevent a short circuit between the contacts by providing contacts of branched baffle patterns in different positions in a lengthwise direction of a heater. CONSTITUTION:Size information selected and specified by a size selection key is fetched to a micro computer MPU19. Decoding signals are fed to a decoder 20 by the MPU19 according to the specified size width and heating body driving circuits I to V are selectively driven corresponding to the specified size width by the decoded signals. Each circuit I to V have a terminal of each of the circuits connected to energizing contacts 18d, 18c, 18e, 18b, and 18f. The other terminal of each of the circuits is made common and is connected to an electrode for energizing 18a on the left side of an energizing thermal layer 14d through an electrical power source E. With this constitution, when the size of the transferring sheet is selected, one of the heating body driving circuits I to V is automatically selected.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make an interspace for maintenance and inspection of jam handling or the like largely securable by axially supporting a side part of a device body so as to cause an axis of a paper discharge roller to be rotated withing the same plane to that of a fixing roller in a way of coupling it a side part of a fixing device with a hinge, and installing the device body centering on this axial support part free of opening or closing. CONSTITUTION:A device body 8 of a paper discharging device is made to be free of movement with a turning shaft 18 of a hinge part 17 as the center to the extent of a position (capable of maintenance and inspection for paper jam handling or the like) distant from a position (capable of operating both fixing and paper discharging devices) proximate to a fixing device 1. At this time, both axes of a fixing roller 5 and a paper discharge roller 12 are rotated within the same plane. In consequence, a longitudinal direction of the device body 8 of the paper discharging device comes to a rectangular state with that of the fixing device 1 at a position separating the device body 8 of the paper discharging device from the fixing device 1, whereby its separate distance is largely securable, thus an interspace for jam handling or the like can be widely secured.
