    • PURPOSE:To certainly feed various kinds of papers, by providing a means for transmitting power to a platen roll and a pin wheel in synchronous manner and a means for changing over both means. CONSTITUTION:When fan-fold paper is fed, a change-over lever 15 is fallen to the side of a pin wheel 20. The rotation of a pin wheel pulley 22 is transmitted to a platen roll pulley 3 through a timing belt 23 but, because a clutch spring release part 15b is engaged with the arm 4a of a clutch spring 4, the clutch spring 4 is unwound and a clutch is released. Paper feed force is transmitted to a transmission collar 7 from the platen roll pulley 3 through a friction member 6 to rotate a platen roll 1 in non-synchronous relation to the rotation of the pin wheel 20. When cut paper or roll paper is fed, the change-over lever 15 is fallen to the direction reverse to the pin wheel 20. By this method, paper feed force by the pin wheel 20 is certainly transmitted to the platen roll 1 through the clutch spring 4.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a low-noise flat head type printer which is small and easy to handle with an easy exchange of the cover by housing an ink ribbon, a platen and a pinch roller on the cover side and a print head, driver and control circuit on the bode case side while the cover is mounted detachably on the body case. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper 65 is mounted on the body case 41 while a positioning mark being registered with an upper cover 58 left open. As a printing is performed, the printed paper 65 is discharged behind a printer passing through a clearance between hinge sections. The printing condition is visible at an opening of an upper base 53 through a transparent window 63. The body case 41 and the cover 58 are free to open or detach. Thus, everything can be done simply by exchanging the cover 58 even when adding other functions including coloring and attaching an inserter. With the cover 58 closed, printing can be done and printing sounds hardly leak outside thereby preventing the generation of noises.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality color recording without mixed color portions by a method in which a plural row of elastically supported projections are provided in the direction of printing on the periphery of a rotary drum, different specific colors of inks are supplied for every row, and these projections are struck from inside. CONSTITUTION:For example, in the case of black dot recording, a rotary drum 8 travels with printing heads 13A-13D and ink rollers 15A-15D and turns such that the arms 9 of projections 11 to be recorded of the projections 11 of a black section 8a come to the front of recording in the face of a printing hammer 14A. Different colors of inks are coated on portions 8a-8d of each projection 11 by the ink rollers 15A-15D. The projections 12 of the arm 9 are struck by the printing hammer 14A by operation of the printing head 13A, the arm 9 is elastically deformed, the projections 11 are moved forwards, and dots are transferred to a recording paper 2. Other colors of inks are likewise dot-transferred for color recording. High-quality color recording without mixed colors can thus be obtained by such a simple mechanism.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a high-quality color recording without mixed colors by a method in which a plural rows of projections are elastically supported on a rotary drum in the printing direction, a specific color of ink is supplied, and a striker is moved and struck in the direction of printing. CONSTITUTION:In dot printing of black color, a rotary drum 8 travels with a printing head 15 and an ink roller 18 to the position of recording, and the printing head 15 moves in the drum 8 so that the printing hammer 16 is faced to the projection 14 of the arm of the black section 8a. In the recording position, the rotary drum 8 is turned while being coated with different inks by sections 18a- 18d of the ink roller 18 so that the arms of projections 13 to be recorded come to the front of recording. By striking of the arm projection 14 of the printing hammer 16, the projection is moved forwards by elastic deformation of the arm, and dots are transferred to a recording paper 2 on a platen 7 by the projection 13. The operations are repeated for other colors for color recording. A high- quality recording without mixed colors can thus be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a printer capable of simultaneously performing carry and printing operation by such an arrangement wherein a type on the type belt is caused to protrude by a hammer and printing is accomplished by causing the type to roll on a sheet of paper with pressure applied thereto. CONSTITUTION:A drive gear 104 coupled with a rack tooth 110a of a rack plate 110 is moved in the direction of digit by the advance pitch of a worm shaft 109. As the result of this, the drive gear 104 is caused to roll on the pitch circumference, and a type drum 101 constructed integrally with the drive gear 104 is also caused to roll and simultaneously a current is supplied to a solenoid 111 and a type 102a is caused to protrude by a hammer roller 112, and the type is caused to roll, with pressure applied, on a sheet of printing paper placed at a position where it is brought to contact with the pitch circumference of the drive gear 104. After the drive gear 104 rolled by the amount of one tooth, the current supplied to the solenoid is cut off so that the drive gear is released from the rack plate 110, and by this, the movement of the drive gear 104 and the type drum 101 stops, and they continue to rotate for selecting a type to be printed next.
