SOLUTION: This rear infant seat is characterized in that a foot protection member 10 pivotally supported at the lower end of a releasing part 9 of a front part of the side surface of main body 1 of the seat; a pair of shafts 16A, 16B in the foot protection member 10 corresponding to a pair of front and rear bearings 15A, 15B arranged oppositely to each other are assembled in the same direction relative to the bearings; and, anti-removing means 17 are applied to the shafts 16A, 16B. Even if a wire member having high rigidity is used, it is not necessary to perform the assembling of the wire member while being flexed or to bend it for making anti-removing operations of the shafts, so that the fixing work of the foot protection member against the body of the seat can be performed quite easily, the structure of the shaft can also be simplified and the anti-removing function can also be applied easily.

When this infant seat is actually used as a seat, the front surface wall 16 is stored in advance in such a way that it is arranged along the bottom surface wall 1D without exerting an influence upon the riding-on space. When the infant seat is used as a cargo basket, the released open front is closed only by raising up the front surface wall 16 so that a loaded cargo does not accidentally drop.
