    • PURPOSE:To prevent an image on a sheet from becoming impaired and at the same time, improve a copying capability by giving the more powerful hammering impact force of one printing wire to the surface of a printing sheet through an ink ribbon, compared to the hammering impact force of the other printing wire which prints data directly on the rear of the printing sheet. CONSTITUTION:When printing wires 3 corresponding to counter-positioned printing heads 1, 2 are driven simultaneously, a control means 25 energizes the solenoid of a printing head 1 with three-amperes of electric current, and the solenoid of a printing head 2 with 2, 1 amperes of electric current. Thus the printing wire 3 of the printing head 2 prints data directly on the rear of a printing sheet 16 at a lower impact value by about 30% than the impact force of the printing wire 3 of the printing head 1. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the printing sheet 16 on the printing head 2 side from becoming impaired.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent laterally continuous 2 dots from becoming 1.5 times as thick as those printed at a normal speed when the total number of printing dots is required to be reduced to approximately 2/3 when printing is conducted at a speed 1.5 times a normal speed. CONSTITUTION:When printing is conducted at a speed 1.5 times higher, dot data is developed by a doubling developer 80 so as to be doubled in a lateral direction. After that, a comparator 84 controls the forming of dots so that a dot printed in a previous printing and a further previous printing cannot be formed. At this time, when original printing data of laterally continuous 2 dots is printed at a speed 1.5 times higher, 2 dots are also printed at an interval 1.5 times larger than that in a normal printing (a normal speed). In a conventional method, in the forming of continuous dots, the printing timing of the second or succeeding dot is delayed so as to be shifted rearward. However, in this device, with respect to a dot judged by a history judging part 100 as the last in continuous dots, the printing timing of the last dot is not delayed.

    • PURPOSE:To alter pressure contact force of a thermal head, a voltage applied to a heat generator and a current supplying time in response to print only mode or printing/correcting modes having possibility of erasure by controlling the applied voltage, the supplying time and the force to preset values when the print only mode and the printing/correcting mode are set. CONSTITUTION:When a printing mode setting switch 6 is switched to a print only mode side, a control signal CS1 is output from a CPU 70 to a driving circuit 67 through an I/O port 69, and a thermal head 17 is brought into pressure contact with a platen 11 through a correctable transfer ribbon 50 and a printing sheet 58. Then, a printing process is executed with an applying voltage, a current supplying time and a printing speed stored in memories 92, 94-95. On the other hand, when an operator switches the switch 6 to a printing-correcting mode, the ink of the ribbon 50 is gradually heated and transferred to the sheet 58 in a semisolid state. The adhering strength of the ink to the sheet 58 is weak due to the fast printing speed, and printed in a state that the ink of the ribbon 50 can be easily peeled.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce driving load over the entire pressing process, by causing a time shift at a time of increase of resilient deformation between first and second resilient members when a print head and a ribbon stopping section are pressed against a print sheet through an ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:During correcting operation, cams 58, 108 rotate to the right, and a correction lever 38 rotates on a first cam face 110 of the cam 108 so as to bring a correction plate 98 near to a platen. A thermal head 22 starts stroke on a first cam face 90 of the cam 58 with a delay, and contacts with the platen, then a second cam face 112 causes to start resilient deformation of a plate pressing spring 100, thus transferring to pressing process. Upon completion of pressing process, the thermal head 22 contacts with the platen through an ink ribbon, and pressing is started through the second cam face 92. Then a stable pressing condition is brought out by means of third cam faces 114, 94 where the ink ribbon is pressed against a print sheet and a carriage 10 is moved under this condition so as to make a correction.
