    • PURPOSE:To reutilize a reversible thermal recording medium once used in recording by providing a control means applying recording to a recording medium other than the reversible thermal recording medium by a thermal recording means when the thermal recording means is selected. CONSTITUTION:When an image forming apparatus 1 starts the formation of an image, a CPU investigates the detection result of a detection switch 13 and judges whether plain paper or reversible thermal recording paper is set and, when the plain paper is set, a heater 16 is not operated. When a predetermined quantity of feed is completed and the reversible thermal recording paper becomes a turbidity state during feed, printing paper 10 is fed to the gap between a thermal head 22 and a platen 24 to perform printing operation and this printing operation is repeated until a page end signal or a printing completion signal comes. In the case of the page end signal, the next printing paper 10 is separated to be fed and, in the case of the printing completion signal, delivery operation is performed.

    • PURPOSE:To easily output an image with an arbitrary graduation from one kind of image information by either forming a plane viewed shape of a pressurizing plate to be smaller than a mask original plate or forming rugged parts in appropriate places of a surface of the pressurizing plate. CONSTITUTION:When exposure is carried out by irradiation with light from an exposure plate 34 side on the mask original plate 15 installed on a light transmissive plate 34 side superposed with a photosensitive recording medium 50 installed on the pressurizing plate 107 side of an exposure base 52 in the place of a positioning means, the plane viewed shape of the pressurizing plate 107 is made smaller than the plane viewed shape of the mask original plate 15. Or, places where close contact state between the mask original plate 15 and the photosensitive recording medium 50 is incomplete is created intentionally by forming the rugged parts on the surface of the pressurizing plate 107. Therefore, an outputted image with gradation in places of the image where the close contact state between the mask original plate 15 and the photosensitive recording medium 50 is incomplete can be obtained. Thus, even when the image information itself is clear, the outputted image with graduation in arbitrary shapes can be obtained with extreme facility.

    • PURPOSE:To stabilize the color balance of an output image even if a source voltage varies by detecting the variation of the source voltage and controlling an exposure lamp so that the color temperature of light emitted by an exposure lamp is constant. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a means which detects the variation of the source voltage and a means which controls the exposure lamp according to the detected voltage so that the color temperature of the irradiation light is constant. Namely, a source voltage input part 51 is connected to the power source of the exposure lamp 3 and the value of the source voltage is converted by an A/D converter 51a into digital data, which is inputted to a CPU 52. The CPU 52 reads an angle of conduction required to hold the color temperature of the light emitted by the exposure lamp 3 constant against the variation of the source voltage out of a storage part 53 according to the digital data. Then a control signal is sent to a phase control part 50 connected in series with the exposure lamp 3 to perform phase control so that the color temperature of the irradiation light of the exposure lamp 3 is constant. Consequently, even if the source voltage varies, the color temperature of the emitted light is held constant, so the stable output image is obtained.
