摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle lock mechanism for a bicycle capable of locking a handle simply and securely by any person and fixing the handle at any position. SOLUTION: This lock mechanism between a handle rug and a handle post of a bicycle consists of a lug part 1 having an engaging member 7, a post part 2 having a receive member 8 fitting in the engaging member 7, and a lever 4 with an eccentric cam 4b. A turn support shaft 14 of the lever 4 is provided on either of the lug part 1 and the post part 2, the eccentric cam 4b operates in accordance with turn of the lever 4 to widen and narrow an interval between the lug part 1 and the post part 2, and the engaging member 7 and the receive member 8 leave from each other or are fitted.

SOLUTION: A device of this type is so formed that a front frame F and a rear frame R are oscillated around a joint shaft J composed of a substantially horizontal shaft. A shock absorber 13 is supported by brackets 11, 12 fixed to the front and rear frames F, R at its both ends. In such a case, one end of the shock absorber 13 can be oscillated round the other end. The position of the oscillatable end can be adjusted for the fixation to the bracket 12. The oscillatable end of the shock absorber 13 is manually fixed to the bracket 12 by mens of a knobbed nut 17, etc.

CONSTITUTION: In a bicycle frame having a shock absorber interposed between a front frame F and rear frame R of a bicycle, an intermediate pipe 14 is inserted into the inside of an intermediate lug 4 provided in the connection of the front and rear frames F, R, to provided a housing 14 for a rotary shaft. A split collar 16 provided in one portion of a cylinder with a longitudinally slitted groove is inserted through a bushing 15 into the housing 14. A bracket 6 is provided on both sides of the split collar 16 in the rear and front frames R, F so that a hole 6a of the bracket 6 is aligned with a hole 16b of the split collar 16, while caps 17 with a collar are inserted respectively into these holes 6a, 16b. A bolt 18 is inserted into a center hole 17a provided in the cap 17 with the collar and fastened with a nut 19.
