Additionally, a head end part 3a of the blade spring 3 is arranged separated from the blade shoe 2 and is made butt contact with a head end part 4a of the bracket 4 free to slide.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wear of a shoe and a chain. SOLUTION: A tensioner arm 10 is composed of an arm body 20 and a shoe 30 attached thereto. A through hole 20a for introducing lubricant oil is formed in the arm body 20, which is equipped with an oil groove 20c communicating with the through hole 20a and extending along the mating surface 20b. The shoe 30 is furnished with a plurality of through holes 30a in communication with the oil groove 20c in the arm body 20. The lubricating oil introduced into the through hole 20a of the arm body 20 from a hydraulic tensioner 15 flows into the oil groove 20c, is forwarded to over a boss part 23 of the arm body 20, and flows to outside the shoe 30 via the through holes 30a of the shoe 30. This enables feeding sufficient lubricating oil to between the shoe 30 and a chain so that their wear can be reduced.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve wear resistance even under high contact pressure. SOLUTION: Shaving is performed for a pin hole 22 of a link plate 2 in a silent chain. A carbide layer which is mainly made of vanadium carbide and contains small quantity of chromium carbide is formed on a topmost surface part of steel to be a base material of a connecting pin 3. A boundary layer in which contents of vanadium carbide is rapidly reduced and contents of chromium carbide is rapidly increased is formed in a boundary region between the carbide layer and the base material. In this case, partial loading of the pin hole 22 and the connecting pin 3 can be prevented by shaving of the pin hole 22. Since the carbide layer formed on the topmost surface part of the base material is mainly made of vanadium carbide, generation of peeling from a surface layer of the carbide layer can be prevented. Since the boundary layer between the carbide layer and the base material contains comparatively large quantity of chromium, coupling property of the carbide layer and the base material is improved and peeling of the carbide layer from the base material can be prevented.

SOLUTION: A blade shoe 2 made of resin and curving like an arc has a chain sliding surface 2a, and its base end is rotatably installed around a metal pin fixed on a base and the other end is slidably installed on a sliding surface formed on the base. A blade spring 3 like a plate spring is attached to a reverse side of the chain-sliding surface on the blade shoe 2. Metal bushes 5 and 6 are forcibly inserted in the base end of the blade shoe 2 and pins are rotatably inserted into the bushes 5 and 6. In this case, since the bushes 5, 6, and pins are all metallic, clearance among bushes 5, 6, and pins are constantly maintained in spite of sharp temperature change. Therefore, deterioration of responsiveness of a blade tensioner caused by temperature change is prevented.

SOLUTION: A carbide layer which is mainly made of vanadium carbide and contains small quantity of chromium carbide is formed on a topmost surface part of steel to be a base material of the pin for the chain. In a boundary region between the carbide layer and the base material, a boundary layer (chromium rich layer) in which contents of vanadium carbide is rapidly reduced and contents of chromium carbide is rapidly increased is formed. In this case, generation of peeling from a surface layer of the carbide layer can be prevented since the carbide layer formed on the topmost surface part of the base material is mainly made of vanadium carbide. Since the boundary layer between the carbide layer and the base material contains comparatively large quantity of chromium, coupling force of the carbide layer and the base material becomes high via the boundary layer and peeling of the carbide layer from the base material can be prevented. Thus, wear resistance of the pin can be improved also under high surface pressure.
