    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating scum scraper which can be installed even in a limited space between the water surface and the ceiling of an aqueduct, a sedimentation basin or the like.
      SOLUTION: A pivot of a scraping plate is installed below a carriage. An operating rod is installed above the pivot of the scraping plate. A roller attached to the end part of an arm member mounted on the operating rod is fitted to a cam hole of a cam member installed downstream of the scraping plate. In a state where the operating rod projects downstream of the carriage, the roller is positioned below and downstream of the pivot. In a state where the operating rod projects upstream of the carriage, the roller is positioned below and upstream of the pivot.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge scraping device which is of a reciprocating-type sludge scraping device to be used in a sludge precipitation pond, etc. and also, is of a new structure with a capability of upgrading the replacement efficiency when the components have worn out.
      SOLUTION: Each of the sludge scraping devices, when deployed in a sedimentation pond, extends across its entire width, with constituent members such as a plurality of scraping elements 20 of stainless steel plate spaced to each other in the longitudinal direction, and a slider 22 of stainless steel plate which is fixed by welding to the bottom surface of the scraping element 20 and slides on a guide rail 24 of a synthetic resin which is laid on the bottom surface of the sedimentation pond. The slider 22 is of a two-plate piled structure of an upper plate 42 and a lower plate 44, the upper plate 42 being formed of a solid material throughout the entire length, while the lower plate 44 being formed of a short length material. Each of the lower plates 44 is tap-welded to the lower surface of the upper plate 42 at a slight interval, so that it is only the lower plate 44 that becomes worn out by a partial contact etc. Thus the upper plate 42 remains unhurt and the lower plate 44 has only to be replaced for a new one.

      SOLUTION: The scum crusher comprises a top opening container rotatably supported around a spindle above a water conduit, a water supply means for supplying water to the container. The position of the spindle is set so that, when the container is empty, the center of gravity of the container exists on one of the upstream and downstream sides of a vertical plane as a boundary passing through the spindle, in the water flow direction of the water conduit, and when water is supplied to the container and reaches a predetermined volume, the center of gravity of the container and water moves to the other of the upstream and downstream sides of the vertical plane and the container rotates to make the water in the container fall to the water surface in the water conduit.
