摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time switch allowing a sub-dial to be manually rotated clockwise and counterclockwise, and capable of reducing trouble in time adjustment. SOLUTION: A gear train for transmitting rotation of a motor to a dial 4 is equipped with: a ninth gear 39; and a ninth pinion gear 41 connected to a minute-hand shaft 24 rotatably journaling the ninth gear 39. A circular recessed part is formed on the back surface of the ninth gear 39, and a plurality of slip teeth are formed at certain intervals on the inside surface of the recessed part. Slip pieces 41a each having a tooth gearing with the slip teeth at its tip are projected from the circumferential surface of the shaft part of the ninth pinion gear 41; and a slip mechanism slipping in rotating the motor side by rotation transmitted from the dial 4 side when the dial 4 side is manually rotated without slipping by rotation torque necessary in rotating the dial 4 side by rotation transmitted from the motor side is composed of the slip pieces 41a and the slip teeth. SOLUTION: The breaker 13 and the solar time switch 14 are housed in a humidity proof case. The humidity proof case comprises a case body 10 having an opening 10a, and a cover body 11 capable of opening/closing the opening 10a. An output cable C2 from a commercial power source to an input cable C1 and a light source is led through holes 102a, 102a, so as to seal the holes with humidity proof bushings 12, 12. An end part of the input cable C1 is connected to input terminals 131, 131 of the breaker 13 and the breaker 13 is housed inside the humidity proof case. Lines L1, L1 from output terminals 132, 132 of the breaker 13 and the output cable C2 are connected to power source input terminals 143, 143, and power source output terminals 144, 144 if the solar time switch 14 and the solar time switch 14 is housed inside the humidity proof case.

SOLUTION: A time switch main body 10 has terminals 17a and 17b to which a load and a power source are connected, and is fixed to a constant position. A display unit 20 having a switch S and a liquid crystal display 75 is formed separately from the time switch main body 10, and is joined to the time switch main body 10 through a joining cylinder 30. The joining cylinder 30 can freely advance and retreat between a position where the display unit 20 is housed in a fitting recessed part 40 arranged in the time switch main body 10 and a position to be made rotatable by taking the display unit 20 out of the fitting recessed part 40. Therefore, when the direction of the display unit 20 is changed, since it can be rotated by taking it out of the fitting recessed part 40, a spot facing part is obviated.
