    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cardboard that has good sizing properties and good rising properties even when pulp including much aluminum is used or when calcium carbonate is not added.SOLUTION: The method for producing cardboard uses a (meta) acrylamide copolymer (A) obtained by polymerization of a polymerizable component (a) containing at least (meta) acrylamide (a1) and a diallylamine-based compound or a salt thereof (a2) and a ketene dimer-based sizing agent (B), and makes a raw material pulp containing aluminum atoms in an amount of 1 wt.% or more, when converted into aluminum sulfate hexadeca-hydrate, with respect to the dry weight of the raw material pulp including recycled pulp into cardboard at pH6-8.
