摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an electrical discharge machining liquid having large electric resistance and rustproof property by constituting said processing liquid by an aqueous solution containing 0.5-5wt% polyoxyethylene denaturant of lanolin and 0.1-0.5wt% silicone series anti-foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:There are two kinds of derivatives as those of polyoxy ethylene of lanolin, i.e., an ester type derivative prepared by allowing the fatty acid of the lanolin to react with polyethylene grycol (containing 500-2,000 ethylene oxide units), and an ether type derivative prepared by adding 15-80mol ethylene oxide to one lanolin hydroxyl group. An aqueous solution containing this ether type derivative of 1wt% and the silicone series anti-foaming agent of 0.3wt%, and an aqueous solution containing 1wt% of one obtained by allowing about 1,000 molecules of ethylene oxide to react with one carboxyl group belonging said ester type derivative, and 0.3wt% of said anti-foaming agent possess large electric resistance, offering rustproof property.

CONSTITUTION:The objective oil for electric discharge machining is obtained by compounding 100pts.wt. of a hydrocarbon-based electric discharge machining oil with 0.5-10pts.wt. of a sorbitan ester or a pyroglutamic acid ester, and 0.5- 10pts.wt. of a silicone oil or 0.05-10pts.wt. of a fluorine-containing surface active agent.
