摘要： An improved electrical connector is disclosed which enables assembly of a plurality of like connectors in a high density array to mate with continuous rows of pin terminals without requiring gaps in the terminals or missing many pin terminals. The connectors have profiled ends which enhance stackability of the connectors so that the end most terminals of adjacent connectors are spaced apart a distance no greater than twice the distance between adjacent terminals in a single connector.

摘要： PURPOSE: To completely shield a connector so as to enhance contact density by fixing a part assembly inside a cover in cooperation of keys, key grooves, braking shoulders, press-fitting pieces and collars, and electrically connecting the cover to a shield via the press-fitting pieces. CONSTITUTION: A part assembly 94 is inserted into a cover 14 under guidance of and in cooperation of keys 54, 82, 84 until braking shoulders 56, 78 abut against each other. In the state in which the assembly 94 and the cover 14 are completely fitted to each other, a press-fitting piece 90 engages with a collar 22. The ends 93 of the press-fitting pieces 90 are pressed and laid in a direction approximate to each other, so that the inner edges 91 of the press- fitting pieces 90 are firmly fitted to braided shields BS of a cable C to be brought into electrical and mechanical contact with the braided shields BS, thereby removing a stress. In cooperation of the keys, key grooves, the braking shoulders 56, 78, the press-fitting pieces 90 and the collars 22, the part assembly 94 is fixed inside the cover 14, which is electrically connected to the shield BS via the press-fitting pieces 90.

摘要： PURPOSE: To maintain the location of a solder post in a connector by providing a means preventing the axial moving of the solder post for a host spacer plate. CONSTITUTION: A right angle connector assembly 20 having a contact receptor path 36 has a solder post spacer plate 46 having a plurality of parallel channels aligning with the path 36 in the horizontal direction. When the combination parts 40 of a contact 38 are inserted into each path 36, the solder post 44 of the contact 38 is inserted into a horizontal direction channel 86 formed on the plate 46. The mounting part 42 of the contact 38 has a means preventing the axial moving on both of the surfaces of the plate 46. Axial moving prevention means 126 and 132 take the forms of control shoulder parts 130 and 136 on either one side or both sides of the plate 46 so as to engage to a positioning plate 46. The moving of the mounting part 42 in a perpendicular direction to the plate of the plate 46 is completely prevented by these means. Therefore, when the contact 38 is incorporated into the assembly 20, the axial moving of the mounting part 42 is prevented.
