SOLUTION: This invention relates to a railway vehicle of the type comprising a floor including at least one movable platform 22 and a standard platform 16, wherein the movable platform 22 is located opposite a door 10 in the railway vehicle, and is movable linearly vertically so that the height of the movable platform 22 is varied to match the height of the platform with the height of a station platform, and at least one first running board 26 which moves linearly vertically and in a transverse direction is provided to fill the gap between the movable platform 22 and the station platform 24 when the running board 26 is in a developed position. The movable platform 22 and the running board 26 can move independently of each other.
