    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent display non-uniformity such as white defects and black stripes on a screen in a simple matrix liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal device, a first substrate 1 and a second substrate are oppositely arranged, and they have a glass substrate, an electrode 12 and an orientation film 14, respectively; and liquid crystal is sealed in-between. The electrode 12 consists of a display unit electrode group 12a formed at a display screen region 10, a drawing out electrode group 12b which draws the display unit electrode group 12a to outside direction of at least one side of the display screen region 10, and an outer side electrode group 12c formed at the outer side of the display screen region 10. At the outer side of sides 10a and 10b in which no drawing electrode group 12b of the display screen region 10 is formed, the margin of the outer side electrode group 12c is covered with the orientation film 14.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-transmission reflection film in which the surface reflectance is kept satisfactory and a liquid crystal display device equipped with the semi-transmission reflection film.
      SOLUTION: A semi-transmission layer 18 constituting the semi-transmission reflection film 13 has a transmission opening 14 formed thereon extending to the outside of a part (a chain dash region) corresponding to a display region 41 on which pixels of a liquid crystal display panel 11 are formed. In this way, by forming the transmission opening 14 extending to the outside of the part corresponding to the display region 41 of the liquid crystal display panel 11, occurrence of a stain spot or whitening on the surface of a reflection plane 13a in forming the semi-transmission layer 18 is prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the number of components small, to lower the cost, and to improve the productivity by bending an intermediate part of a printed board in an L shape and connecting a terminal groups to terminal groups arranged at right angles on a couple of insulating substrates. SOLUTION: An insulating substrate 3 has many conductive wires 5 formed on its top surface facing an insulating substrate 2 and a terminal group 5a consisting of an aggregation of many terminal parts is provided along the side edge 3a of the insulating substrate 3. The printed board 7 is folded along the side edge 2a and put over on the opposite surface from the surface of an insulating substrate 2, the intermediate part 7c is bent at 45 deg. to a side end 7d, and part of it is arranged in parallel to the side end 3a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively manufacture a device by providing a lead out part to a flexible insulator and connection parts protruded to both sides of the insulator and connecting conductive wirings provided in the connection part of one side to the conductive body of an insulating substrate and also sticking it to the insulating substrate to make the insulator to be used in both devices having a circuit substrate and having no circuit substrate compatibly. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal cell S is constituted of rectangular glasses or the like and polarizing plates are respectively stickingly attached on insulating substrates 1, 2 in whose gap liquid crystal is sealed. Conductive bodies 5 are formed on the opposing surfaces of the insulating substrates 1, 2. Moreover, a lead out part 7a and connection part 7b, 7c protruded to the both sides of the part 7a are provided on a flexible insulator for draw out 7. Then, conductive wirings formed in the connection part 7b of one side are connected to the conductive body 5 of the insulating substrate 2 and conductive wirings formed in the connection part 7c are connected to the circuit of the circuit substrate 9 on which a power circuit or the like are formed by the anisotropic conductor of a thermosetting type or the like.
