    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a cone ring CVT to a hybrid drive device and to use a compact arrangement for the device as a whole.SOLUTION: An input-side friction gear 22 is disposed on a first shaft I that is coaxial with an engine output shaft, an output-side friction gear 23 is disposed on a second shaft II, and an electric motor 2 is disposed on a third shaft III that is parallel to the first shaft I and the second shaft II. The electric motor 2 and the cone ring CVT 3 are disposed in a manner so as to partially overlap in the axial direction. Viewed in the axial direction, the third shaft III is disposed on the same side as the friction gear 23 side that is not enclosed by the ring 25 with respect to a line v-v that is perpendicular to a line p-p that connects the first shaft I and the second shaft II and that passes through the center t of the ring 25 when the ring 25 has moved maximally toward the shaft center II side of the friction gear 23 that is not enclosed by the ring 25.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission having sprockets with changeable effective diameters and a chain wrapped around the sprockets wherein the vibration of the chain is suppressed and the strength of the sprockets is well secured.SOLUTION: When the effective diameters of first and second sprockets are changed, a plurality of first and second segments 310, 320 are radially moved along a first guide part 301 or a second guide part 302 of a base member 300 to be generally positioned on a same circumference, and a chain support member 321 of the second segment 320 is disposed on the axial side of a primary shaft 30p or the like of the first segment 310 so that the overlapped amount thereof with the first segment 310 in the circumferential direction is more increased as the effective diameters of the first and second sprockets are more decreased.
