摘要： PURPOSE:To weld easily a butt pipe in case of a narrow gap by fitting the guide roll supported by a welding head to the bevelling face of the butt pipe and by travelling the welding head along the welding line with the guide roll as a guide. CONSTITUTION:A guide roller main body is rotated with rolling a guide roller with being guided by the bevelling guide roll 12 being engaged into a bevelling face 4 on driving a motor. A welding head 11 is accordingly rotated in the same direction along the welding line. An arc is simultaneously generated between butt pipes 2, 3, which are welded in an argon gas atmosphere. In this case an insert ring 28 is melted at the stage of an initial layer and deposited to a root part 26.

CONSTITUTION:A leaf spring driving member 36 is rotated on the forward rotation of a driving motor 35 and a leaf spring 38 is accordingly moved in the same direction while being wound on the step part 4a of a rotary body 4. The rotary body 4 is rotated under the guidance of the groove guide roller 8 which is fitted to a groove face 10. A welding head is rotated as well in the same direction along the welding line X-X accordingly. An arc is simultane ously generated between the groove face 10 of a pipe 11 and an electrode 60 and the welding of butt pipes 11, 12 is performed in an argon gas atmosphere. The welding head 6 thus welds the groove face 10 of the butt pipes 11, 12 rotating along the welding line X-X.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a device which permits easy butt welding of pipes for a boiler etc. with the small spacing from the adjacent pipe by providing a rotating body and gaseous Ar passage to a support fixed to a pipe to be welded and providing a groove guide roller to a welding head mounted to said rotating body. CONSTITUTION:An attaching body 2 mounted to an attaching table 40 is fixed to the pipe 11 in the stage of welding the butt pipes 11, 12. A sleeve 35 is then inserted into the pipe 11 and the support 3 is imposed on the base 40. A screw 34 is rotated to dispose an electrode 63 to the position where the electrode faces a groove face 10. A clamping lever 74 it thereupon rotated in the direction A to fix the support 3 to the pipe 11 and thereafter a motor 52 is run, then the rotating body 5 attached rotatably to the support 3 rotates around the pipe 11. The welding head 8 mounted to the body 5 is guided and rotated along the weld line X-X according to the rotation of the rotating body. An arc is generated at the same time between the face 10 and the electrode 63 and gaseous Ar is supplied to the face 10 through the passage 4, by which welding is executed.
