    • PURPOSE:To ensure the real time performance of each communication packet by assigning respectively a required number of slots to plural stations participating in the network and applying packet communication by the implicit token passing system. CONSTITUTION:The system consists of a station main body 11 connected to a data processing unit and controlling the transmission/reception of a communication packet, a packet transmission reception section 12 connected to a transmission line, a header detection section 13 detecting the kind of a communication packet transmitted to the transmission line and a slot assigning control section 14. The control section 14 has a storage section 15 of a bit corresponding to the transmission slot included in one frame. When a data to be transmitted from the data processing unit to other station exists, the main body 11 applies packets to the data and stores it in a transmission buffer. A transmission/reception section detects sequentially the transmitted packets and fetches packets addressed to the own station. The header detection section 13 detects the kind of the communicated packet from header information.

    • PURPOSE:To collect information from a sensor effectively without any problem such as an electric spark by modulating light of different wavelength by pieces of information from plural sensors of a plant, and performing optical wavelength multiplexing and leading light to a sensor information processor. CONSTITUTION:The sensor information processor 1 has light sources which generate light beams having different wavelengths, and light beams from the light sources are multiplexed on wavelength basis and sent to an optical demultiplexer 3 through optical fibers 2a of a wavelength multiplex transmission line 2. The optical demultiplexer 3 demultiplexes the wavelength multiplexed light into light beams having different wavelengths, which are sent to sensors 51-5n through optical fibers 61-6n. The respective sensors modulates input light by sensor output information and sends the modulated light to an optial multiplexer 4 through optical fibers 71-7n. The multiplexer 4 multiplexes modulated signals having different wavelengths on wavelength multiplex basis and sends the resulting signal to the processor 1 through optical fibers 2b. The processor 1 demultiplexes the input light by a demultiplexer and respective detectors detect modulated information. The multiplexer 3, demultiplexer 4, and sensors operate passively and generate no electric spark.

    • PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive optical network system, by changing a high- speed signal into a parallel signal in a circuit speed, or providing a function to restore the parallel signal to the high-speed signal on a network interface. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a camera interface board 5 gives a circuit request to an exchange control part 6 via a system bus 3 when the picture data of a camera 8 is transmitted to a monitor 9. If a 96Mb/s band is needed for transmission of picture data, the part 6 checks whether three idle circuits are available from a circuit state table in an RAM. If three idle circuit are available, the part 6 registers the allotted circuit of the board 5 to the circuit state table and informs the name of the corresponding receiver, the name of the allotted circuit, etc. to a control part 1. At the same time, the control part 6 controls a switch of a circuit switching part 7 and connects the switch to an L port connected to the allotted circuit board 5. While the exchange control part of the part 1 connects the circuit switch part to the interface board of a monitor 9 based on the received information, and the connection end information is sent back to a control part 2.
