    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal clutch that is excellent in power transfer performance, regardless of its simple arrangement with a small number of part items and that resists the wear of a clutch boss and a clutch shoe.
      SOLUTION: The centrifugal clutch includes a driven drum, a clutch boss 3 rotating about the axis C of a drum cylinder, a clutch shoe 4, and a biasing member 5 for elastically biasing the clutch shoe 4 toward the clutch boss. A fulcrum projection 21 serving as the oscillation fulcrum 20 of the clutch shoe 4 and a retaining projection 22 disposed in a position in front in the rotation direction R of the fulcrum projection 21 are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the clutch boss 3. A fulcrum groove 23 facing the fulcrum projection 21 of the clutch boss 3 slidable in the rotation direction and a retaining groove 24 facing the retaining projection 22 of the clutch boss 3 freely movable toward and away from it are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the clutch shoe 4. The forward outer peripheral surface of the retaining projection 22 in the rotation direction is formed as a projecting curved surface 25, and the forward inner peripheral surface of the retaining groove 24 in the rotation direction is formed as a recessed curved surface 26 facing the projecting curved surface 25 of the retaining projection 22.
