摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a high-tension direct-current breaker which cuts off direct current of an arbitrarily value through a combination of a technique of utilizing capacitor discharge and a technique of utilizing superconduction. CONSTITUTION: In the normal operation of a line, a breaker D is closed and a switch 1F is opened. A capacitor C is permanently charged by means of a resistor R from the upstream side of the line. If a trouble is caused in the line as indicated by a zigzag line E, a current flowing through the line suddenly rises up to its critical value to thereby transit superconductive windings 7 and 8 and thus excessively increase their resistance. As a result, a higher voltage is generated across the terminals of a varistor V to absorb most electromagnetic energy into the varistor V, and residual currents in the windings are easily cut off by the breaker D. In that case the capacitor is not discharged. The line is thus promptly protected with no high-speed troubleshooting.

摘要： PURPOSE: To make possible close electromagnetic coupling between two coils by providing a first coil of normal conductivity conductive material with many turns, electrically connected in series to a superconducting coil of small self- inductance and a second coil of normal conductivity conductive material with power number of turn, is combined tightly with the first coil. CONSTITUTION: In normal operation, with a closed breaker D a normal current flows in a branch comprising a first coil E1 and a superconducting coil B. When a short circuit is formed, the value of the current exceeds a threshold of the coil B to transfer the coil B into a normal conduction state, resulting in an extremely large value for its resistance. Thereby, almost all of the current flow in the other branch provided with a second coil E2. A faulty current is limited by an intrinsic inductance of the coil E2. Here, the inductance is set sufficient a value so as to reduce the faulty current to a value equal to about 3-4 times the normal current. The residual current is cut off with a breaker D.

摘要： PURPOSE: To effectively disconnect the high-voltage direct current by directly connecting a feeder line of a first field through to a first point to be disconnected, and directly connecting at least one of feeder lines of a second field through to a second point, and while connecting at least one of the residual feeder lines to the same second point through a circuit breaker. CONSTITUTION: A field through 3 includes basic feeder lines 31, 32, and these feeder lines are directly connected to a first point P to be disconnected outside the field through. A field through 4 includes two feeder lines 41, 42, and the feeder line 42 is drawn from a low-temperature maintaining device at a point N and directly connected to a second point Q, and the feeder line 41 is connected to the point Q through a circuit breaker 60. The feeder lines 31, 32 are connected to the feeder lines 41, 42 inside the low-temperature maintaining device through superconductive coils 51, 52. When the defective current achieves an intensity at 1.51 time of the nominal current, the superconductive coils 51, 52 are automatically changed to the resisting condition, and the current is immediately lowered. The residual current is disconnected by a circuit breaker D so as to finally disconnect the high-voltage direct current.
