摘要： PURPOSE: To form an X-Y direction input device which is stable in quality and high in reliability by forming a spherical body inserting port which is larger than a spherical body to be rotated, at a prescribed position of a lower case, attaching an upper case to the lower case, and thereafter, inserting the spherical body to be rotated, into a casing from the spherical body inserting port of the lower case, and covering the spherical body inserting port of the lower case with a ring-like cover.
CONSTITUTION: A display device 2 provided with a screen, a controller and a data channel, etc., an input device 3 having a function key, and an input device 4 are placed on a table 1. A casing 8 consists of a lower case 9 and an upper case 10 formed by, for instance, ABS resin, and in order to prevent dust, water, etc. from going into the casing 8 from the joining part of the lower case 9 and the upper case 10, the whole circumference of the joining part of the lower case 9 and the upper case 10 is step-engaged. A fit-in hole 12 is formed along the longitudinal direction of the upper case 10 at a prescribed position of an upper wall part 11 of the upper case 10. An operating end 14 of a rectangular switch lever 13 is inserted into this fit-in hole 12 from the inside of the upper case 10.
