    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive scanning laser radar having a long lifetime by providing a laser beam control means for controlling a spreading angle control means and a scanning angle control means depending on the output from a vehicle speed sensor thereby suppressing the number of times of laser emission.
      SOLUTION: At the time of low speed, beam scanning angle 6 and beam spreading angle 5 are set wide. Consequently, the number of times of laser emission is suppressed thus suppressing the lowering of lifetime of a laser element. At the time of high speed, beam scanning angle 8 and beam spreading angle 7 are set narrow. Consequently, the density of laser beam can be increased and since the power of reflected light is increased, a remote detectable range can be ensured. Spreading angle and scanning angle of laser beam are set wide at the time of low speed so that a wide range can be irradiated while suppressing the number of times of laser emission and both angles are made narrower as the speed increases so that a narrow range is irradiated while increasing the power of reflected light and ensuring a detectable range.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a double engaging state, by a method wherein, when the energizing level of a driven source is decreased to a first level or less, shifting from a first step to a second step is effected, and the energizing level is increased to a second level higher than the first level, shifting from a second step to a first step is effected. CONSTITUTION:CPU of a control device performs shifting from a first step (a high reduction ratio) in which a solenoid SOL1 is turned ON and an SOL2 is turned OFF, to a second step, in which both solenoids are turned ON, so that creep phenomenon is prevented from occurring when it is detected by a sensor 80 that, with a brake stepped on, a car speed is substantially in a stop state, for example, a car speed detected by a sensor 70 is 6km/h or less and the opening of a throttle is reduced to 5% or less. In release of a creep preventing mode, when it is detected by the sensor 80 that the opening of a throttle exceeds 8% at which hysteresis is produced, the solenoid SOL2 is turned OFF to effect return to the second step from the first step. This constitution prevents the occurrence of double engagement to the interior of a speed change gear even when a driver performs special drive, and enables prevention of the generation of vibration.
