摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency error detector which is hardly affected by inter-code interferences of the signals reproduced from an optical disk and can accurately detect the frequency errors.
SOLUTION: The frequency error detector obtains some sampled values of the reproduced signals, and develops two kinds of windows, i.e., a predicting position window to predict the position where a SYNC pattern appears next time and a predicting wave length window to predict its wave length based on the mark/space length obtained by measuring those sampled values to specify the SYNC patterns, then detects the frequency errors from the interval of the SYNC patterns.
