摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety in the operation of a nuclear reactor by setting a limited operation range of a nuclear reactor according to the number of operating pumps when some of recirculation pumps operate and limiting a reactor operation point within the limited operation range when some pumps operate. SOLUTION: The operation range 9 of ten recirculation pumps (hereinafter referred to as the pumps) is determined by inputting a reactor output signal 2 where an average output range monitor signal 1 includes a time constant T, a core flow rate signal 3 and a signal 4 of the number of operating pumps for detecting the number of circulation pumps that stop. Then, a maximum output signal 7 and a maximum speed curve signal 8 in accordance with the number of operating pumps are found by inputting the reactor output signal 2, the core flow rate signal 3, the signal 4 of the number of operating pumps, the relation 5 between the number of operating pumps and a pump maximum speed curve and the relation 6 of a minimum limit output ratio during the abnormal transient change obtained beforehand by analysis. An operation range 10 is determined in accordance with the number of operating pumps by using the maximum output signal 7 and the maximum speed curve signal 8, and the operation characteristics of a reactor is limited to the range 10 when some pumps operate.
