    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the fouling of a forward osmosis membrane, and to extend the life of the membrane in a saline water conversion system using the forward osmosis membrane in which seawater is made raw water, water is recovered to a solution of an osmotic pressure that is higher than that of seawater by using the forward osmosis membrane, then fresh water is purified.SOLUTION: The saline water conversion system using the forward osmosis membrane includes: a first room of a forward osmosis membrane treatment means, in which raw water (seawater) is supplied touching the forward osmosis membrane; a second room of a forward osmosis membrane treatment means, in which a hyperosmosis solution that touches the forward osmosis membrane and recovers water by making it penetrate the membrane; a refining means in which a solute or a particle in the hyperosmosis solution is removed; and a piping, in which a solution obtained by the refining means and having the osmotic pressure lower than that of seawater, is supplied to the second room, wherein the osmotic pressure difference between the first room and the second room is made a driving force, thereby water contained in the second room is made to penetrate through the forward osmosis membrane, and the substance adhering to the forward osmosis membrane touching the first room is removed.
