摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus for making a temperature distribution of a magnetic material hold plate 14 even without narrowing an image pickup area and attenuating a fluctuation magnetic field while generating small eddy current. SOLUTION: The MRI apparatus includes: a magnet for generating a static magnetic field in an image pickup area of a subject; a gradient magnetic field coil for making pulse current flow to generate a magnetic field where magnetic field intensity is gradient in the image pickup area, a low temperature area where heat is unevenly generated, and a high temperature area which is higher in temperature than the low temperature area; and a magnetic material hold plate 14 which is disposed along the gradient magnetic field coil, holds a plurality of magnetic materials 13, and improves the evenness of the static magnetic field. The magnetic material hold plate 14 is an excellent conductor provided with slits 19, has a high temperature approximate area 29 close to the high temperature area and low temperature approximate areas 37, 38 close to the low temperature area. 摘要： A superconducting magnet includes: first and second torus coolant containers substantially symmetrically, vertically arranged to have a space and a symmetrical plane therebetween for storing a coolant. Each of the first and second torus coolant containers includes therein a main coil bobbin (2) with a main coil (1) for generating a measurement magnetic field, a shield coil bobbin (4) with a shield coil (3) for generating a shielding magnetic field for suppressing outside leak of the measurement magnetic field, a plate member (5) vertically reinforced at a plane thereof opposite to a plane thereof facing the symmetrical plane for supporting the shield coil bobbin and the main coil bobbin. The main coil bobbin is further supported by the shield coil bobbin, to cause the main coil to generate the measurement magnetic field having a substantially uniform magnetic field intensity at a middle region of the space. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus using the superconducting magnet is also disclosed.

摘要： The MRI apparatus has ring-shaped superconducting coils (2a, 2b) arranged to vertically oppose each other. The superconducting coils are installed in ring-shaped cooling containers (5a, 5b). The cooling containers are accommodated in radiation shield plates (7a, 7b). The radiation shield plates are accommodated in vacuum vessels (3a, 3b). The cooling containers are connected together at at least two locations. Support members (9) are arranged between an outer wall surface of the lower cooling container and an inner wall surface of the lower vacuum vessel to support the lower cooling container on the lower vacuum vessel. The upper cooling container is free, supported only by the connecting tubes connecting the upper and lower cooling containers.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting magnet for MRI whose operation time is long even in the state that an extremely low temperature refrigerator is stopped, in a magnet for open type MRI for which superconducting coils are oriented opposingly in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: A gaseous helium storage container is provided inside a liquid helium storage container and pressure piping is connected. Since the storage container has a structure that the lower part is opened and the upper part is closed, evaporated gaseous helium is captured and stored. As a result, the evaporated gaseous helium pushes up the liquid level of liquid helium, and hence the temperature rise of the superconducting coil due to liquid level decline is suppressed.
