    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a low beam light distribution pattern having inclined cut-off line with one set of right and left headlights. SOLUTION: In a vehicular headlight 10, the low beam light distribution pattern having a horizontal cut-off line and an inclined cut-off line in which a prescribed inclination angle is included is projected toward the front of the car. Light-emitting element 12 is arranged inclined at an inclination angle equivalent to the angle inclined against the horizontal line. A translucent member 20 has: a rear face 20b of nearly paraboloid of revolution shape in the rear of the car side where the light-emitting element 12 is arranged; and a front face of nearly flat face shape in the front of the car side. A front face-reflecting part is formed on the front face so that the light emitted from the light source is reflected internally toward the rear face. A rear face-reflecting part is formed on the rear face so that the light reflected by the front face-reflecting part is reflected as emission light toward the front of the car. The rear face of the translucent member has: a first region which is configured such that the emission light forms the inclined cut-off line; and a second region which is configured such that the emission light forms the horizontal cut-off line.       SOLUTION: The vehicular lighting fixture includes the ceramics discharge bulb 1 as a light source, and a reflector 2 for positioning a first focal point on the light source and for reflecting a light emitted from the light source 1 which is to be condensed on a second focal point and emitted toward the front side of a vehicle. The light source 11 has deviating emitted luminous intensities in the direction of the lamp optical axis Lx, and the reflector 2 is split into an upper reflector 21 and a lower reflector 22, both using the lamp optical axis as a common axis. The lower reflector 22 is sectioned into a plurality of regions 22s, 22c, 22m, in which the first focal points are set at different positions F1f, F1r in the direction of the lamp optical axis that results in different luminous intensities of the light source 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To brightly scan a prescribed lighting region with parallel beams emitted from lenses by using small sized light sources, in scanning-type lighting equipment with the lenses provided on stages which can be turned.
      SOLUTION: The stages 5 are turnably supported on the bases 3 of the lighting equipment 1 and the stages 5 are driven by actuators 7 for scanning constituted of permanent magnets 10 and coils. Condenser lenses 9 are provided on the stages 5 and are held by holders 8 so that rear focal points F are positioned on the turning axial lines of the stages 5. The light sources 16 are fixed to brackets 17, which are attached to the bases 3 so that the centers of light-emitting sections are in the same positions as the rear focal points F and heat sinks 18 are installed. The beams from the light sources 16 are transmitted through condenser lenses 9, and the parallel beams PR emitted by the condenser lenses 9 scan the prescribed lighting region in front of the lenses 8 by the reciprocative turning of the stages 5.
