摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: processing liquid remains in a ring-like state at each end portion of a roller for applying the processing liquid, then, the processing liquid scatters and drops down with the rotation of the roller. SOLUTION: The processing liquid applying apparatus includes: a conveying roller 235 for conveying paper 100; the applying roller 232 which comes in contact with the conveying roller 235 from above to apply the processing liquid 201 to the paper 100; a squeezing roller 233 which comes in contact with the applying roller 232 from the lateral direction, supplies the processing liquid 201 to the roller 232 and reduces the liquid film thickness; and a liquid tray 234 for supplying the processing liquid 201 to the squeezing roller 233. The axial length A of the squeezing roller 233 is longer than the axial length B of the applying roller 232. The processing liquid tray 234 includes a storage part which is disposed under the squeezing roller 233, and constituted by integrally forming a first storage part 234a located in an area beneath the squeezing roller 233 and a second storage part 234b located in a position corresponding to the axial end portions of the applying roller 232 and formed extending toward the applying roller 232 side. By viewing the determination results, an operator can find the occurrence of this situation and can decide processing and the like. It is determined that the image on the backside is reflected to the image on the surface, a read image on the surface or a read image on the backside may be displayed on a liquid crystal display of the operation panel.
