    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branched urethane resin dispersing agent that is suitable for a printing ink, a resist ink and an inkjet ink for a color filter, a coating material, a colored resin composition or the like and has dispersion properties and stability excellent in non-agglomeration properties and fluidity, and provide a pigment composition using the branched urethane resin dispersing agent that has excellent dispersion properties, excellent fluidity and excellent storage stability imparted by using the dispersing agent in a small amount thereof. SOLUTION: The branched urethane resin dispersing agent is prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate having three or more isocyanate groups with a monoalcohol in a molar ratio of NCO/OH of 3/2 to 3/0.5 to produce an isocyanate-terminated compound, polymerizing the isocyanate-terminated compound with a polyol compound comprising an acrylic resin and/or a siloxane resin having two or more hydroxyl groups existing with 1-30 atoms interposed therebetween under the condition of an excess of hydroxyl groups to produce a hydroxyl group-terminated compound, and reacting a hydroxyl group in the hydroxyl group-terminated compound with an acid anhydride group in a compound having an acid anhydride group.
