SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for color toner for light fixation includes a stage of producing a masterbatch containing a soluble infrared-ray absorber to a concentration of 20 to 80 mass% for a component previously containing binding resin and/or wax, a stage of producing a toner composition containing an infrared-ray absorber to a desired concentration by mixing the masterbatch with other toner components, and a kneading and crushing stage of fusing, kneading, cooling, and then crushing the toner composition into toner particles. By this method, it is necessary only to emulsify a small amt. of the solvents corresponding to about 1/10-1/100 of the amt. of the monomer and processes can be simplified especially in mass production.
