    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide enabling high quality optical communication by suppressing a loss or crosstalk at an intersecting portion, and an optical wiring component and an electronic apparatus equipped with the optical waveguide.SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 1 has three layers of a clad layer 11, a core layer 13, and a clad layer 12. The core layer 13 is provided with two parallel core portions 141 and 142 (first core portions), a core portion 145 (a second core portion) intersecting the core portions 141 and 142, and side surface clad portions 151, 152, and 153 provided in an area other than those core portions. A refractive index distribution W of the waveguide 1 has an area in which a second maximum value, a minimum value, a first maximum value, the minimum value, and the second maximum value are aligned in this order, and is a distribution in which a refractive index continuously changes as a whole. Of the refractive index distribution W, a part put between the two minimum values corresponds to the core portions 141, 142, and 145, and the part other than that corresponds to the side surface clad portions 151, 152, and 153.

The optical waveguide 1 has mirrors (light reflection surfaces) 161 and 162 formed by the inner wall surface of a recess 160 provided in the edge surface clad part 15b.
