It is prevented by inserting an insulation member 17 into the gap between the adjacent coil end parts 3a thus preventing the coil end part 3a from being damaged at the time of withstand voltage test.

      SOLUTION: A stator includes: a stator coil housed in a slot in a stator core and having coil ends protruded from both end faces of the stator core; a fastener constructed of a through bolt and a nut screwed to an end of the through bolt and integrating the laminated steel plates of the stator core; and a cap-like insulating barrier covering this fastener and shielding the fastener from the coil ends. A conductive layer is formed on either or both of the inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface of the cap-like insulating barrier. This conductive layer and the fastener or the stator core is electrically connected with each other.
