摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform confirmation of a switching operation between a common-use lighting state and an emergency lighting state in a short time to improve the maintainability. SOLUTION: An illumination apparatus comprises: a battery 3; a charging circuit 25 charging the battery 3 by a power from a commercial power supply 21; a switching circuit 24 switching over between the power from the commercial power supply 21 and a power from the battery 3 to light a lamp 6; a reception circuit 35 receiving an inspection signal transmitted from the outside; and a control circuit 27, when the inspection signal is received, performing an inspection operation to operate the switching circuit 24 to light the lamp 6 by the power from the battery 3, the inspection operation being continued to when a predetermined time period elapses from stop of the reception of the inspection signal. Since the control circuit 27 is made perform the inspection operation when the inspection signal is received from the outside, confirmation of a switching operation between a common-use lighting state and an emergency lighting state can be performed in a short time to improve the maintainability.
