    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the indoor unit of an air conditioner reducing the number of parts constituting a casing, reducing assembly man-hours, facilitating installation work by reducing the weight, reducing the number of heat insulating members arranged on an inner surface of the casing, and improving transport efficiency and productivity. SOLUTION: The indoor unit 1 of the ceiling-embedded type air conditioner includes the casing 2 having a top plate part 2a and a side plate part 2d; a decorative panel 3 attached to a lower end opening of the casing 2 from an indoor side, having a suction port 4 on the center, and having a plurality of blowout ports 5 on the outer periphery; a centrifugal fan 9 and a fan motor 10 rotating the centrifugal fan disposed in the center of the top plate part of the casing; and a heat exchanger 11 installed to surround the outer periphery of the centrifugal fan. The casing 2 having the top plate part 2a, the side plate part 2d, and an inner wall 2b arranged on the inner side of the side plate part 2d and forming a double structure with the side plate part 2d, is constituted by an integrally molded article by a hard synthetic resin.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling suspension type air conditioner capable of carrying out air conditioning control such that a temperature difference of a room becomes small by using a movable type radiation sensor, and having an energy saving effect. SOLUTION: The ceiling suspension type air conditioner is characterized by that it is equipped with a casing 1 installed in a ceiling, a suction opening 3 provided on a rear part lower face or a rear part back face of the casing 1, an indoor blower provided in the casing 1 and blowing indoor air sucked in from the suction opening 3, an indoor heat exchanger arranged in a downstream side of the indoor blower in the casing 1 and carrying heat exchange between a coolant and the indoor air sent by the indoor blower, a blowout opening 6 provided in a front part of the casing 1 and blowing secondary air heat exchanged by the indoor heat exchanger into the room, a wind direction plate 8 arranged on the blowout opening 6 and turned vertically to control a vertical wind direction, and the radiation sensor 70 provided in the casing 1, detecting infrared ray radiated by an object such as the floor to detect a temperature of the object, driven by a driving part to turn a detection direction to the right and left, and detecting the temperature of the object such as the floor.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving user's safety without increasing manufacturing costs caused by increase of components. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner comprising a housing 1 having a suction opening 2 and a supply opening 3, a grill 4 openably and closably covering the suction opening 2, a filter 5 disposed inside of the grill 4 for filtering the dust in the air sucked from the grill 4, a heat exchanger disposed in the housing 1, a fan 6 for allowing the air sucked from the suction opening 2 through the filter 5 to pass through the heat exchanger and be distributed from the supply opening 3, a DC brushless motor 7 driving the fan 6, a rotational frequency detecting element detecting the rotational frequency of the DC brushless motor 7, and a control portion 8 controlling the DC brushless motor 7, the control portion 8 determines whether the suction opening 2 is in an opened state or not on the basis of the rotational frequency of the DC brushless motor 7, and stops the DC brushless motor 7 when the opening state of the suction opening 2 is determined.
