    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a good-appearance output image.SOLUTION: A 16-piece frame image data (representative data) is extracted from a video image file, and an output image in which frame images (a representative image) represented by the individual pieces of representative data are arranged in temporal sequence is generated. The video file is categorized into plural scenes, and a provisional value of the number of extraction for every scene of the representative data is set in accordance with the number of frame image data included in each scene. Then, the number of extraction for every scene of the representative data is determined for an output image generated when the representative data is extracted in accordance with the provisional value by adjusting the provisional value in a direction in which a scene-switching position where scenes of the representative image are switched matches a position where partial columns are switched. That is, the number of extraction the representative image from each scene is optimized so that the number of extraction for every scene of the representative data is the number based on the number of arrays of the representative images for every part row.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, and an image processing program capable of intuitively setting image correction.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes a first image input means for inputting a first image; a first feature-quantity specifying means for specifying a first feature-quantity representing features of the first image input by the first image input means; a second image input means for inputting a second image that is an image to be the object of image correction; a second feature-quantity specifying means for specifying a second feature-quantity representing features of the second image input by the second image input means; an image correcting means for performing image correction on the second image, in such a way that the second feature quantity specified by the second feature quantity specifying means becomes closer to the first feature quantity specified by the first feature quantity specifying means; and a printing control means which performs print processing for printing the second image on which image correction processing has been performed by the image correcting means. When the variation between the second image, before performing image correction processing thereon by the image correcting means and the second image, after performing image correction processing therein, is smaller than a predetermined determination criterion amount, regarding the printing control means, the printing processing by the printing control means is limited.
