    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection precision for both end voltages of a semiconductor switching element regardless of action frequency of a heating coil. SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes an inverter circuit 3 having a semiconductor switching element 5 connected to the heating coil 2 for induction-heating the pot, a rectifier circuit 8 rectifying AC power 7 and feed the power to the inverter circuit 3, a both end voltage detection circuit 12 detecting both end voltages of the semiconductor switching element 5, a control part 13 on-off controlling the semiconductor switching element 5, and a frequency detection part 22 detecting the action frequency of the heating coil 2. The control part 13 sets an upper limit value 23 for both end voltages of the semiconductor switching element 5, corrects the output voltage of both end voltage detection circuit 12 in accordance with the frequency detected by the frequency detection part 22, and sets on-time for the semiconductor switching element 5 not to allow the corrected value to exceed the upper limit value of both end voltages.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle which has reduced electric power loss during reheating operation. SOLUTION: The electric kettle includes: a container 1 for storing water; a heating means 2 for heating the container 1; a first temperature sensor 3 installed in the bottom of the container 1; a steam passage 7 installed in the upper part of the container; a second temperature sensor 8 installed in the steam passage 7; a boiling detection means 9 that detects rise in temperature of the second temperature sensor 8 to stop energization to the heating means 2; a temperature value setting means 10; a re-heating key 6 for performing re-heating; and a temperature raising means 11 that energizes the heating means 2 until the detected temperature of the first temperature sensor 3 rises to a temperature value set by the temperature value setting means 10 when the reheating key 6 is pressed. When the set temperature value of the temperature value setting means 10 is properly set, the energization to the heating means 2 is stopped immediately after boiling, in the re-heating operation which is started by a user pressing the re-heating key 6 during thermal insulation, so that the electric power loss due to elongation of the boiling time is reduced.
