    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building board excellent in heat insulation and weatherability and to provide a method for manufacturing the building board.SOLUTION: The building board has a substrate, a heat insulation coating film coated on the surface of the substrate and a transparent clear coating film coated on the heat insulation coating film. The heat insulation coating film contains a coating film-forming material and an organic hollow particle and a water-soluble solvent. The method for the building board has a heat insulation coating film forming step of applying a heat insulation coating material to the surface of the substrate and then drying the same to form a heat insulation coating film, a clear coating film forming step of applying a clear coating material on the surface of the heat insulation coating film and then drying the same to form a clear coating film. The heat insulation coating material contains a coating film-forming material, an organic hollow particle and a water-soluble solvent having a boiling point higher than a temperature of a coating film during drying in the heat insulation coating film forming step and the clear coating film forming step.

As the heat insulation paint, paint containing organic hollow particles of 5-50 μm in average particle size and 80% or larger in average hollow rate by 0.01-5.0 parts by mass for every 100 parts by mass of paint solid content is used, and dried to form the heat insulation coating to an average coating thickness of 5-500 μm.
