摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker having a current limiting function in which it is hard to illegally use and modify, and when regularly changing a contract current, an operation current according to the contract current can be changed easily without requiring replacement work of an existing installed apparatus. SOLUTION: A circuit breaker 1 comprises: in a device body 101, first and second current transformers 105 and 106 each provided in an electric path 10 of a plurality of phases, for detecting the magnitude of a load current; an opening and shutting mechanism 103 for opening and shutting the electric path; an operation handle operating in an interlocking fashion with the opening and shutting mechanism; tripping means 104 for performing a tripping operation when a predetermined current flows in the electric path; a trip coil 109; a current setting section 201 for variably setting a threshold value of a current for operating the trip coil; and an operation control section 108 for performing predetermined time-limit characteristic control when the magnitude of the load current is greater than the set current value.
