摘要： A side airbag apparatus, which deploys an airbag between an occupant of a vehicle and a sidewall of the vehicle in order to protect the occupant in the event of side collision of the vehicle. This side airbag apparatus has a first airbag and a second airbag. The first airbag has a tube-like shape, and one end of the first airbag is fixed at a seat back of a seat of the vehicle and the other end of the first airbag is fixed at a seat cushion of the seat. The second airbag has a tube-like shape, and one end of the second airbag is fixed at the seat back and the other end of the second airbag is fixed at the seat cushion. In this side airbag apparatus, the position of one end of the second airbag is higher than the position of one end of the first airbag.

The tip of a second stay cloth 47 having a base end fixed to the hook 35 of the stay cloth holding plate 35 is linked to the stitched part 26 after passing along the front surface of the case body 36.

摘要： An air bag device includes an air bag which is accommodated in a folded state along sides of a seat back and a seat cushion of a seat for an occupant. Upon side collision of a vehicle, the air bag is expanded by a gas generated by an inflator and deployed between an inner surface of a side of a vehicle compartment and an occupant. The air bag is disposed outside a lap belt of a seat belt device, and hence is deployed from the sides of the seat back and the seat cushion, so that a shock-absorbing effect can be effectively exhibited.

Meanwhile, the other end periphery of the forward surface side is hung so as to be stretched together with the seat surface hanging part 2e of the trim cover 2, and the other end periphery of the side surface side 2b is also fixedly attached in series to the seat surface hanging part 2e from the rearback side of a seat back frame 4 so as to be stretched and disposed over to the inner side of the trim cover 2 as the stay cloth 7 and 8 surrounding an air bag device 1.
