    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase control circuit having an excellent property of eliminating high-frequency noises and inexpensive, simple circuit construction. SOLUTION: The circuit comprises: triacs TR1 and TR2 for phase-controlling an alternating-current supply voltage; and inductors L1 and L2 serially connected to these triacs TR1 and TR2, respectively, with L1>L2, in which at first the triac TR1 is brought into conduction at the start time of energization by the phase control. Immediately after that, the triac TR2 is also brought into conduction, so as to suppress heat generation possibly caused by the inductors by eliminating high-frequency noises using the inductor L1 at the start time of conduction and subsequently flowing much of current into the inductor L2.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an illuminating lamp by interrupting a power supply line when an overload state occurs for a plurality of illuminating lamps. SOLUTION: An illuminating lamp control circuit 1 is provided with switching control circuits 12a to 12n comprising switching elements 121a to 121n controlling power supply to the illuminating lamps 10a to 10n arranged in respective parallel paths disposed in the power supply line. The circuit 1 is also provided with individual current sensors 21a to 21n detecting current flowing in the respective parallel paths, an adding circuit 22 adding detection current of the individual current sensors 21a to 21n, a current detecting circuit 23 smoothing output of the adding circuit 22, a comparing circuit 24 comparing a detection current value detected by the current detecting circuit 23 with a prescribed threshold, and a protecting circuit 27 outputting a switching signal which changes over the switching elements 121a to 121n to an off state when the detection current value exceeds the prescribed threshold as a result of comparison.
