摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic toner which has a high degree of black and is capable of providing images having image quality free from fogging/high grade. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic toner is used in an image forming method of bringing a photoreceptor formed thereon with electrostatic latent images by an electrostatic charging means and an image exposing means and a toner carrying member deposited thereon with a toner layer into contact with each other or disposing both opposite to each other apart a spacing narrower than the toner layer and developing the electrostatic latent images, then transferring the images onto a transfer material. The magnetic toner described above is developed by impressing only the voltage existing between the image part potential and non-image part potential on the photoreceptor onto the toner carrying member in a developing stage. The magnetic toner contains at least a binder resin and a magnetic material. The value S of the respective products (DXMxgamma) is 100 to 400 when the weight average grain size of the toner is defined as D(mum), the saturation magnetization quantity in the magnetic field of 1k oersted of the toner particles as M(emu/g) and the density of the toner particles as gamma(g/cm ).
