      SOLUTION: The porous ceramic has a homogenous pore structure in which pores having radii in a narrow range of 3,000-40,000 Å occupy 90% or more of the total pore capacity. The porous ceramic is manufactured by a method including a first step of drying a raw material containing waste as a main component, an aggregate and a binder, a second step of mixing the raw material after the first step, a third step of adding water to the mixture obtained in the second step, a fourth step of performing extrusion molding of the water-added mixture obtained in the third step as a molding compound, and a fifth step of firing an intermediate molded article obtained in the fourth step.
