      SOLUTION: The carpet A with the three-layer structure has a layered structure obtained by fusing and joining an upper layer part 10, a middle layer part 20, and a lower layer part 30. The upper layer part 10 has piles 12 at the upper surface side and is coated with a synthetic resin at the lower surface side. The middle layer part 20 includes a water-repellent non-woven fabric layer 21 at an intermediate part between an upper thermobonding synthetic fiber layer 22 at the upper surface side and a lower thermobonding synthetic fiber layer 23 on the lower surface side. The lower layer part 30 is composed of a cloth with cut piles on one side, where needle shape projections 32 are formed with the cut piles on the lower surface side.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet which has not only flame retardancy and fire-safety but also fire resistance and characteristics of hardly causing a harmful gas.
      SOLUTION: The carpet A hardly causing the harmful gas is obtained by adhering a backing material layer 10 and a skin material layer 20 across an adhering material layer 30. The backing material layer 10 is a nonwoven fiber aggregate composed of fibers containing acrylic oxide fibers of 30 to 80 wt.% and synthetic fibers of 20 to 70 wt.%. The adhering material layer 30 consists of material hardly causing harmful gas composed of an EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) resin 32 containing a mesh base 31 composed of a polyester fiber. Regarding the skin material layer 20 composed of gray fiber, piles 22 are formed of pile yarns of 100% wool on the front surface of a primary ground fabric 21 consisting of a nonwoven fabric made of polyester fibers, and an adhesive 23 consisting of EV latex for preventing falling out of the yarns is applied to its rear surface. The carpet A hardly causing the harmful gas being the material hardly causing the harmful gas is composed of a carpet gray fiber to the front surface of which a liquid non-combustible agent is attached.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet manufacturing method and a carpet manufactured by such a manufacturing method which does not use any adhesive agent such as Latex, is extremely adhesive, reduces wastes in case its recycling is facilitated by selecting appropriate component fiber, and helps saving resources and protecting the environment.
      SOLUTION: The carpet is manufactured by forming a pile 12 on the front surface of a primary ground fabric 11 made of non-woven fabric of polyester fiber, a skin material 10 coated with polyethylene resin for protecting the pile against thread casting off on the back surface of the primary ground fabric, and a backing material 20 made of needled two-layered non-woven fabric. The polypropylene fiber of the upper layer of the backing material is burnt and melted at a temperature which the polyester fiber of the lower layer does not melt. The melted polypropylene fiber of the upper layer of the backing material and the back side of the skin material are laid on top of the other in a way that both sides face with each other, pressurized and bonded each other, and dried.

      SOLUTION: In this carpet A hardly generating the harmful gas, a backing material layer 10 and a skin material layer 20 are bonded together via an adhesive layer 30. The backing material layer 10 is a nonwoven fiber aggregate which is composed of fibers containing 30-80 wt.% oxidized acrylic fibers and 20-70 wt.% polyester-based fibers. The adhesive layer 30 is composed of a material hardly generating a harmful gas which consists of an amorphous olefin polymer composition 32 and in which a mesh fabric 31 composed of polyester fibers is provided. The skin material layer 20 is a material hardly generating a harmful gas composed of carpet greige in which pile 22, composed of pile yarn consisting of only wool, is formed on the front side of a primary base fabric 21 composed of a nonwoven fabric made of the polyester fibers, in which an adhesive 23, composed of the amorphous olefin polymer composition, is applied on the backside thereof so as to prevent yarn cast-off, and the front side of which is subjected to the adhesion of a liquid incombustible agent.
