    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a mica product having a high thickness aspect ratio.
      SOLUTION: A method for producing a mica product includes: an exfoliation step S1 of immersing a raw material in an acid solution of pH 5 or below, applying weak mechanical energy to the solution by stirring or the like to promote exfoliation, and exfoliating and splitting the raw material into flakes; and a classification step S3 of subjecting the resultant flakes to classification operation such as sieve classification or elutriation separation to obtain flakes of required particle size. A mica product obtained by the production method has a thickness aspect ratio of ≥20.
