SOLUTION: This positioning device is provided with: a base part 2; linear guide rails 33 and 34 arranged on the base part 2; a movable stage 4 supported reciprocatively linearly movably to the linear guide rails 33 and 34 through guide rollers 32; a stator 6 arranged in parallel to the extension direction of the linear guide rails 33 and 34 with respect to the base part 2 and constituting a linear motor 3; and a movable element 7 movable along the stator 6, and fixed to the movable stage 4. In linearly moving the movable stage 4 to a preset position by mutual action between the stator 6 and the movable element 7, the peripheral components are prevented from being easily magnetized even when influenced by magnetic force generated from the linear motor 3, and the movable stage 4 can be smoothly moved, by forming the base part 2 and the movable stage 4 with a nonmagnetic material.
