摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor various conditions and situations such as air quality, potential biological and chemical attacks, and road and traffic conditions by means of sensors mounted on vehicles (e.g., buses, taxis, police cars) and public personnel (e.g., policemen).SOLUTION: The invention improves upon a typical approach that deploys fixed sensors at every predetermined geographical position. The total number of required sensors and size and complexity of a network infrastructure required to connect the sensors are reduced and simplified. A method for estimating the number of mobile sensors required to cover a predetermined area is also disclosed. A relatively small number of the mobile sensors may cover a large area at a lower cost and more simply than a fixed sensor network.

The network information repository server is configured to transmit the update information to a cellular network for broadcasting or multicasting to the mobile stations or to send information via a cellular interface or wirelessly to the mobile stations.

摘要： This document describes, among other things, a systems and methods for monitoring vehicle conditions via cellular networks. In some embodiments, a system for monitoring vehicle conditions is provided that includes at least one network information repository server having at least one database containing information related to vehicle conditions. The at least one network information repository server is configured to receive updates from mobile stations that perform a comparison of vehicle conditions based on actual information sensed by the mobile stations as compared to expected vehicle conditions and that upon identifying an inconsistency send an update to the network information repository server. Moreover, the network information repository server is configured to transmit updated information to a cellular network for broadcasting or multicasting to mobile stations or to send information via a cellular interface or wirelessly to mobile stations.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for allowing mobile devices to simultaneously access a subscriber identity module (SIM).
SOLUTION: The SIM contains a wireless transceiver, and the SIM may be located within a mobile phone, or it may be a stand-alone device. The mobile devices use a wireless protocol, such as Bluetooth, to retrieve identification information from the SIM. The devices then use this identification information to connect to a wireless communications network, such as a wireless local area network. Through this network, the devices will be able to access the Internet. The SIM will never need to be removed and inserted from one device to another, and multiple devices can use the SIM simultaneously. Thus, the mobile phone will work regardless of whether other devices are also using the SIM.

摘要： Data packets are transmitted from a first access network to a first interface of a multiple interface device (MID), and identical data packets are transmitted concurrently from a second access network to a second interface of the MID. Some of the data packets that are transmitted to the MID from the first access network are not received by the first interface. The MID inspects identifiers of data packets from the first and second interfaces in order to send to the application a stream including all of the data packets. For example, the MID sends to the application the data packets from the first interface, buffers the data packets from the second interface, and sends data packets from the buffer to the application upon detecting that data packets in the buffer were transmitted to the first interface but not received by the first interface.
