摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dry type spraying which enables attainment of compact monolithic refractory having high density, high strength and high corrosion resistance, with application moisture of low water quantity. SOLUTION: A method for dry type spraying of a monolithic refractory composition is executed by a spraying device constituted by providing a water injection port 4, a piping 3 for kneading and a nozzle part 7 in this sequence in the downstream part of a pressure-sending hose or pressure-sending piping 2 connected to a spray machine 1. The nozzle part 7 is composed of a water solution injection port 8, a piping 9 for mixing and a spray nozzle 10. Application moisture is added to monolithic refractory composition powder sent under air pressure from the spray machine 1, through the water injection port 4, and the powder is kneaded while it passes through the piping 3 for kneading. A water solution of a flocculant or a shape retaining agent is added from the water solution injection port 8 to a kneaded material thus obtained, and then the material is sprayed through the piping 9 for mixing and the spray nozzle 10.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent explosive fracture of an executed product with heated steam in the case of spraying dense unshaped refractory to a surface of a material to be executed having residual heat by specifying spraying thicknesses of first and second layers in the case of spraying the refractory to the heated material. SOLUTION: A lining of various molten metal containers such as a tundish or atmosphere furnace is constructed by a hot spraying method. In the case of spraying dense unshaped refractory to heated material 6 to be executed, a spraying thickness of a layer 8 is set to 10 to 30mm, and spraying thicknesses of layers after a layer 9 are each set to 30 to 100mm. Immediately after spraying of the layers, benching holes each having a diameter of 2 to 10mm are provided at a gap of 30 to 100mm at the executing surface. As refractory composition to be used, low cement castable or cementless castable is included. The low cement castable is preferably prepared by mixing dispersant with refractory composition containing refractory aggregate, refractory ultrafine powder and alumina cement.

The diameter of the pores of the plate is limited to a range of 1 to 15mm. If the diameter of the pore is less than 1mm, clogging scarcely occurs, and at the time of heating, scattering of steam and gas is not smooth. The thickness of the plate is limited to a range of 0.3 to 10mm. If the thickness is less than 0.3mm, its strength is insufficient, while if the thickness exceeds 10mm, the weight of the frame becomes excessive, and the work becomes difficult. Thus, the physical properties of the executed material are improved, the executed time is shortened, the usability is increased to prolong the service life, and the execution cost is reduced. Accordingly, industrially advantageous effect is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:The waste of a magnesia-carbon brick for the converter is sized to 5-60mm, and the sized brick chip is preferably degassed for about one hour, dipped in a suspension of amorphous silica in water in vacuum for at least several ten minutes, preferably for one hour, taken out and dried. Consequently, the chip is impregnated with silica to the inside, and the structure is not broken by slaking or the breaking is reduced. A magnesia castable contg. 5-30wt.% of such a chip is excellent in resistance to slaking and spalling, hence the frequency of spalling is drastically reduced when applied to the actual furnace, and the castable is highly durable.
