    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of personnel and time for operation and to extend the life of a lining by forming an assembling box of a refractory heat resistant plastic material, and mounting the box in a specified position in a tundish. CONSTITUTION:A bed board 4 is placed between opposed side wall boards 3, and the rear side is connected by the slice of a cushion material 7. Any org. or inorg. material which has a cushioning property is usable for the material 7. Suspension fittings 8 attached to the top of the boards 3 are set to a hooker 9, and are hoisted with a crane to assemble a box. Refractory mortar 6 is preliminarily packed in the two sides of the board 4 in contact with the boards 3 and in this state the box is rested in a tundish. An increase in the size of the single board is made possible by the above-mentioned method whereby the joint parts are decreased and the intrusion of the base metal is lessened.
