摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a packaging container including hollow bodies which fit to each other and a locking device provided at a ridge of the hollow body wherein a heavy object can be packaged, and an unexpected difficulty to be met in opening of a package of a packed object can be eliminated even under conditions that its opening is conventionally difficult. CONSTITUTION: The packaging container with a variable length and suitable for packaging an elongated object includes hollow bodies 2, 3. The hollow bodies have approximately the same cross sections, wherein each is closed at one of end faces and opened at the other end face opposite to the former end face so that they can be fitted with each other from the opened end faces. They also include a locking device provided on a ridge of the hollow bodies 2, 3 which are fitted with each other. The locking devices can couple overlapping portions of both hollow bodies 2, 3 which are fitted with each other and relatively rotate both bodies 2, 3 laterally with respect to a longitudinal axis of the packaging container 1, thereby allowing both hollow bodies to separate from each other.
