    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge system capable of safely discharging a secondary battery and a wide expandability to various secondary batteries.SOLUTION: The discharge system includes: a secondary battery pack 1; a discharge apparatus 2; and application software which operates on a personal computer 3. The secondary battery pack includes: plural secondary battery cells C; a temperature sensor 11 for detecting the temperature of the secondary battery cells; and an over-discharge detection circuit 10 that detects over-discharge from the secondary battery cells. The discharge apparatus includes: a discharge circuit 21 for discharging the secondary battery; a current detection circuit 22 that detects the discharge current; and a discharge control circuit 23 that controls the operation of the discharge circuit. The application software receives a piece of total voltage information, a piece of temperature information, and a piece of over-discharge information on the secondary battery pack through the discharge apparatus, determines the deterioration of the secondary battery pack on the basis of those pieces of information and displays the determined result. Also, responding to the output signals on the temperature sensor and the over-discharge detection circuit received via the discharge apparatus, the application software terminates the discharge via the discharge circuit of the discharge apparatus.
